Sašo Vrabič, There’s an Emptiness in Perfection

Made in China, 16. december 2016 ― M#5, 2012, shirt, various sizes, screen print Limited edition of 10 - - - - - Price: 30 € By wearing the shirt designed by artist Sašo Vrabič, anyone can become a “passing canvas, a written mural, a message catching the eye of an onlooker”. In recent years, Vrabič has been using words to create portraits, and there are usually connections between the large images, written directly on walls using pencil, and the contents of the words making up the images. The words define the person being depicted, while knowing the person in the image allows us to see the wider context. By wearing a Sašo Vrabič shirt, you will become the one being depicted, enriching the inscription with your own image. The slogan, which became part of the multiple, was previously used by Vrabič for his mural image – the portrait of the perennial malcontent and cripple dr. House, which he created in 2012 on the wall of the Cankar Hall building in Ljubljana with charcoal. www.vrabic.si Photograph: Jernej Prelac

Made in China, 16. december 2016 ― M#10, 2012, XL shirts in different colours, print Limited edition of 200 - - - - - price: 39,99 € Veli & Amos is a Slovenian-Swiss artist duo, working in Ljubljana and Zürich. Their work uses language, codes and the energy of graffiti and activism to draw attention to the problems and borders of our present-day reality. They research public space, squats and demonstrations, where they adapt their knowledge into a site-specific art practice. Using public art, art on the Internet or art inside the gallery, they work on transforming a site. For the Made in China project, the artists contributed their Interrail-From Here to Fame multiple, which is based on a performance the artists carried out by taking a train trip using tickets printed on shirts. Made in China, 16. december 2016 ― M#7, 2013, sticker, forex plate Size: 85 x 85 mm Limited edition of 68 + 2 Certificate of authenticity - - - - - Price: 30 € The socially-critical artistic duo from Maribor son:DA (Metka Golec, Miha Horvat) has been active since 2000. We mainly know them from projects with which they succeeded in making visible that which is always present, but usually goes unnoticed. Retro drawings made with a computer mouse, which sometimes become wallpaper, are a recognizable part of their projects. They also work with sound distortion within various sound installations, which also respond to the presence of the user. We mainly know them from projects with which they succeeded in making visible that which is always present, but usually goes unnoticed. Sockets, in all their many forms, have gradually and through the years become their logo. Sounding cables and sockets also imply connections, the importance of cooperation, intertwining and meeting in a network; the duo also demonstrates this with the way they work – they employ “team” work using a number of media and techniques of expression. Made in China, 10. november 2015 ― Sašo Sedlaček, Robot-Žicar Trendovski in retro je Žicar Saša Sedlačka. Revščina in beda ostajata daleč stran. Magneti Žicar so multipli podob izvirnega robota in D. I. Y.-verzij po izvirnem načrtu, ki jih je Sašo Sedlaček oblikoval za projekt Made in China leta 2012. Ker je edicija neomejena, jih priporočite še prijateljevemu hladilniku. Made in China, 10. november 2015 ― M#24, 2014, Text on A4, signed, unlimited edition, - - - - - price: 2€ The Tributes is a growing series of loving, but somewhat humorous remakes of classic works of art by artists like John Baldessari, Bas Jan Ader, Douglas Gordon and more. Conny Blom remakes pieces that have inspired and motivated him in his own artistic practice, in a light-hearted manner, using the simplest of means. As the title suggests, the series is paying respects to the original works, even if it might happen that the essence of the pieces gets misplaced in the process.
